Fine flavoured cocoa from the island of Tobago

On the island of Tobago soil and climate provide perfect conditions for an aromatic and still mild fine flavoured cocoa. This is why our Tobago Plantagen-Schokolade, with a cocoa content of 75 per cent, is remarkably mild, too.

There are some old cocoa plantations that we rediscovered. In cooperation with the government of Tobago we have been working for some years now at recultivating savaged cocoa plantations. It is a long-term project; its aim is to conserve the nature of this beautiful island.

Tobago has the oldest nature reserve of the western hemisphere. The rainforest has been under conservation since 1764. Without disturbance to the rainforest old cocoa plantations are tended and exploited and new plantations laid out.
